Arusha National Park

Rivertrees Lodge, 1 night

The inn is the starting point of the safari. It is a charming country estate that was once an old coffee farm, and still retains the nostalgic air of a well-loved homestead. Here, we will meet our private driver /guide and begin our adventure.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp, 2 nights

Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – situated on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, close to the access road into the crater, with spectacular views of the crater rim valley and surrounds. We will visit Oldupai Gorge (The Cradle of Man) and attend a lecture followed by a walk to see where Mary Leakey discovered the skull of Austrolopiscus Boisei, then on to Shifting Sand and of course, Ngorongoro Crater where we will seek the “big 5” (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), and herds of wildebeests and zebras. Livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe graze alongside wild animals.

Serengeti

Serengeti Tortillis Camp, 3 nights

In the middle of the Serengeti, in Africa's finest wilderness, surrounded by its most incredible wildlife, we seek to create a camp that captures the true atmosphere of a Serengeti safari. Ras Kutani

Ras Kutani Lodge, 3 nights

Optional - Hike to See the Silverback Gorillas

There are few places left in Africa to see gorillas. Rwanda is one of those places. In Rwanda, you may only track gorilla within Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans), a section of the bigger Virunga mountains with a guide. Permits are limited to 56 per day.

This includes 2 nights in the park, 1 day hike with guide, transfers, hotel with breakfast, and a city tour of Kigali. Experience a taste of Rwanda.

Arusha National Park

Rivertrees Lodge, 2 nights

Arusha National Park lies about 15km to the north east of the town of Arusha. Whilst the park is not very remote, nor particularly large, the landscape is varied and interesting, there is some decent gentle game-viewing and, if you are lucky with the clouds, occasional views across to Mount Kilimanjaro. The main body of the park is made up of Mount Meru, the smaller sister of Mount Kilimanjaro and another impressive free standing volcano.

Tarangire National Park

Oliver's Camp, 2 nights

Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It's the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem - a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed.

Ruaha National Park

Kwihala Camp, 3 nights

Ruaha national park is one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape. The park is rich of plants and animals such as Greater Kudu) which cannot be found in any other national park. The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making visitors’ safari experience very unique. The Great Ruaha River serve as the life line of the park. During dry season, these rivers become the main source of water for wildlife.

The resort of Ras Kutani, just a short, easy hop from Dar es Salaam, has that ideal combination of a dreamy Indian Ocean vibe, luxury accommodations and utter tranquility.

Optional - Rubondo Island

There are few places left in Africa to see chimps in the wild. Rubondo Island is one of those places. Located on Lake Victoria, one of the world’s largest lakes, this island is home to a group of chimps that were rescued from circuses, zoos and private owners around Europe. The island was deserted in the 1960’s and became home to 8 males and 9 females that have flourished. This protected habitat is also home to gray parrots, elephants, giraffes and a large variety of birds.

Rubondo Island Camp - 4 nights

Includes roundtrip air from Dar es Salaam Transfers, all meals, drinks, trekking to see the chimps, park fees and walking tour.
